The Annual Med High University Fair is just around the corner! This event will help you clear up any confusion regarding applications, but only if you ask the right questions.
Here are 5 questions to ask university representatives!
1. How many campuses is the university based on?
Rather than only asking where in the world the institution is located, don’t forget to research the campus. Many universities nowadays don’t have just one campus and often they are scattered around different countries.
2. How flexible is your course structure? Can I change majors or combine programs?
Often there’s no one single solution to a problem, that’s why many universities offer degrees in a combination of subjects. This can be done through double degrees, major and minors and so on. Also, different universities offer different styles of learning even if it is the same degree. Make sure to check course components and structures as you form your decision.
3. In which field does your university specialise in?
Many universities focus on specific fields: business, medicine, science and so on. Compare departments which offer courses you are interested in. Which one is more established or stronger in the designated field?
4. What exchange or study abroad programs do you offer?
University can’t be all study and no fun. Many universities allow exchanges or study abroad semesters as part of your degree. Be sure to check that out!
5. Are there internship or research opportunities for undergraduates?
Depending on your field of study, internships or research can be already compulsory. Research and don’t hesitate to ask about opportunities supported by institutions, whether it is company internships or scientific research.
Enjoy and take advantage of this great opportunity organised by the school. With more than 50 universities attending this year, there’s plenty of information to go around.
