Every year during the holiday season, Mr Avgerinos directs a fantastic show for the school to watch and this year’s Christmas show was most definitely unmissable and unforgettable! From romance writers to secret princes, 5 couples went above and beyond to make sure that the show was incredible and exciting, where backstage and onstage stupid jokes were shared and most importantly precious memories were made.

It’s time to meet our couples!
The 5 main couples that starred in the show were none other than a handyman and a hotel/ inn owner, two romance writers, a sociopath and her unconscious boyfriend, a lawyer real estate business person and a lumberjack, and finally a famous actress and an undercover prince. Between these couples, identities were hidden and revealed, secrets were spilled, snowball fights broke out and romantic interactions were shared, but nonetheless our group of actors put on a show that entertained and amused everyone as the couples competed to be the cutest. Even despite the end of the play, the battle for the best couple still remains… So who is the ultimate best couple? (I think it’s the narrators…)
The behind the scenes support
From our dedicated stage managers, Leticia Farah and Arkan Sari, to our very own director Mr Avgerinos, it was clear that we had a strong team in order to ensure that the play would be a big success. Their undeniable dedication to the show, from ordering props and costumes to building the Christmas-y set, makes it clear that without them this show would not have progressed very far. Therefore, we would like to thank Mr Avgerinos and his team who provided the school with such an incredible performance, where although the actors were the face of the show, the team of managers and helpers were the real backbone to this amazing production.
The actors behind the scenes
The cast for this play could not have been a more fun group to act with, where during the after school rehearsals, which the cast were eager to get to, everyone would share their food, share their jokes and share their – sometimes concerning – opinions. That being said, this united the cast for the full day rehearsals, where during these 3 days they recorded Tiktoks, battled on stage with the props and sat in the park together during breaks, (and of course practised for the show). Then, like time never passed, it was the night of the performance and anxiety flooded backstage! To overcome this, everyone screamed at the top of their lungs, releasing all of the fear and trepidation that lingered in the air, replacing it with blood curdling screeches… So if you went to the show and heard a scream, it’s okay, nobody was being murdered!
The dancers and singers
Apart from the amusing performances from our actors, the dancing and the singing filled everyone with the Christmas spirit! When our two singers opened the show with a joyful song, assisted by Ms Panayiota , excitement filled the room, where a beautiful choreography, created by Dariia Khudobiak and Zoe Christodoulidou Bosko of Year 5, also helped instill the holiday mood into others, where even from backstage the whole cast was dancing and singing along to the music!
To conclude, the Christmas show was definitely regarded as one of the best Christmas productions that the school has created and witnessed by far, and from the rehearsals to the actual performance it was an unforgettable experience for all of the actors, singers, dancers, producers and of course the audience who were a fantastic crowd to perform in front of. We would like to thank everyone who made this Christmas show possible and we are all extremely grateful that it became such a memorable experience for everybody!
